Hi! My name is Biagio DiSalvo and I run the Instagram account B's Cucina. My foraging journey began in the foothills of the Italian Alps where my great aunt and her friends introduced me to mushroom hunting when I was about ten years old. Over the years, I have developed a passion for cooking which has been heavily influenced by my continued hobby of foraging for wild flavors in both the plant and fungal worlds. Cooking and foraging became a grounding force during my PhD (in the tangentially related field of plant pathology and microbiology.) Through B's Cucina, I hope to share knowledge I've garnered through my academic studies and personal life pursuits in fun, new ways. Thus far, I've enjoyed meeting other foragers through this social media platform and marrying my two pastimes together to create dishes that are both visually pleasing and delicious (but honestly, the mess ups are just as fun!)
